Hi my name is Craig.
Thanks for letting me join the site.
I saw a teardrop at the April NASCAR race in Fort Worth. I thought WOW what a great idea. I forgot about it until last week and decided to do some looking online for something like it. Well I am now here and will start a build very soon. My garage just got a new window AC unit so its a great place to build. I am finding the HF trailer a little hard to get. I was told by a manager that there is a shortage, but I will keep trying. I would love to see a teardrop to help me make some decisions before I start the build,so if anyone has one in the Houston area, and would let me take a look let me know.

Hey Craig! I'm new here too, love down toward Galveston. Don't have anything built to share but I spent several weeks pursuing these forums and looking at TONS of images here and elsewhere. There are plenty of ideas out there.... Too many intact that I can't put them all in the TD I'm in planning stages for! Maybe we can share some build pics in future, if you find any new sources for materials I'm always looking.

Hi and welcome to the group!

Something that helped me a lot was just before I started my build there was a TearJerkers gathering near me. It was great to see a couple of dozen trailers from homebuilt to commercial, all shapes and sizes. Check out the gatherings area of the website and see what is coming up in your neck of the woods.

Craig, you may want to check out the South Central section and may find someone on there that lives close to you. We have one in Tomball but had it built and he made the frame also, so ours would not be that much help. Admittedly lots of the folks seem to live up Dallas way. I am not saying there is not any around Houston but it seems that there is a larger collection up north. You can get a huge amount of info at a gathering and you would be welcome. They love to show them off.
OOPS, after reading your post again, ours would be as interesting as anyone elses. I was thinking you wanted to look at the trailer frame such as Harbor Freight and ice is not that.
