I just want to thank everyone for putting so much work into sharing their knowledge in this forum. I've been reading these pages for months now, and they're just packed with good advice.
I'm a long way from starting, but having so many build journals to read through, and getting to overhear so many conversations, my ideas have gotten a lot more clear!
I've spent the spring comparing blueprints, learning LibreCAD, and designing my own little caravan. It's basically a Trailer-For-Two on a 4x8 Harbor Freight chassis, but much shorter front to back, taking a lot from the Generic Benroy Plans.
I'm going for small, cheap, and light. That being said, I also may live out of it with my girlfriend at some point, so I want it to have some small closets for hanging clothes. Based on the closet design I have in my head (not in CAD yet) I should be able to hang 20 shirts/dresses in the compartment behind the headboard (at the tongue end). Oh yeah, and bookshelves.

So, small and cheap, at least. Those cabinets (and books) add weight pretty quickly, I understand.
So hopefully I'll have updates sometime soon. I'm close to finished with my plans, then I'll upload them.
Thanks!
Taylor
