Yet another Canadian

Greetings from Prince George, British Columbia! 65 yo retiree, finally committed to building a Tear, after craving one for over 25 years. I've purchased "Comet" plans from Kuffel Creek, printed them off and am now saving for more printer ink. My wife is very supportive however she has elicited a promise from me to hold off construction of my Tear until next spring (given all the renovation work I have ahead of me, I thought it a reasonable request.) She did, however, also ask me to build a model of a Teardrop that she can use as a flower planter; how sacreligious is that? I promised to do that, I figure I'll build it at 1/4 scale. That ought to help me understand the plans better as well as hone my joinery skills ( which are in serious need of honing :). I will be using a 5 X10 Marathon utility trailer (from Home Depot As the chassis for my build. This, provided the weather permits. Once autumn sets in, there is little time in which one works outdoors happily around here. My little shop is too small to build inside, and it's not heated. Perhaps I'll throw up another shed that will accommodate...
I'm very pleased to have an account here @ tntt and expect to have fun communicating with y'all. Onward & Upwards!
