Greetings and Salutations! I stumbled upon this site via Pinterest, ( imho the best dang place next to tnttt on the inter-web) and have been in " holy crow I gotta have one of these" modes since. I love to camp, but am turning into a minimalist in my middle age, and to be honest the whole tent camping thing is overrated anymore. Pack the Passat to the brim, drive to site, spend two hours setting up, camp for two days, spend 4 hours trying to get everything back in the Passat, plus all the stuff you procured during your weekend trip, drive back home, unpack the Passat, and take a week to recover, lol. I have no desire to buy a big honking Rv, or a huge truck for that matter, so a teardrop is the perfect fit for me. Easy set up, gets me off the ground, still lets me climb out in the am and get the French press a brewing while enjoying a crisp spring or fall sunrise, and I can haul it with my 14 year old VW. And the best part is I can build it the way I want and enjoy the journey before we even hitch it up. Thanks in advance for all the wonderful build journals and the questions that have been answered that I don't know I need answered yet.

Now to find me a 5x10 wagon so I can get started!
