I have always wanted to build a Teardrop trailer and finally did so this year. Part of the motivation was a family trip from Tallahassee, FL to Sringfield, MA. in which we towed our completed trailer behind our minivan. What a blast! And as expected, we were met with many questions about our teardrop on the way up by folks who were very interested in our smaller camper.
We have four children and have owned a large travel trailer in the past. All I can say about that time was that it was fun, but it cost a lot of money for that fun! Now with this new teardrop, we are having the same experience at a fraction of the cost. Less gas, smaller vehicle, etc, etc. My future plans are to build another "CabinCar" style trailer with the sale of my existing 2015 Benroy style teardrop. After building my first teardrop and after all the attention we have received from family, friends and even complete strangers, I am hooked, and I am ready to build another one!
