New girl from Ohio

Hello all!

I've been lurking the forums for a little bit now, and decided to join up so I can actually ask questions.

I'm still in the planning stages right now, but I would like to build a vardo type wagon, and if possible have it be a pop-up similar to Rae's awesome build.

My towing vehicle is a 2015 Jeep Renegade, which is rated for 2k capacity, so weight will be a factor in my design.

Currently I have many scraps of paper filled with doodles for a possible design shape, since I am big on the idea of building something unique and different, and I am of the mind to get the dream on paper, then shape reality to suit, as much as is possible within my design constraints.

I don't have a great deal of money laying around either, so I'm sure this will be a longer project that will be completed as budget allows me to buy more pieces over time.

I'm sure I'll have more questions when the actual building starts, but for now, I'm here to soak up knowledge.

My suggestion is that you join TearJerkers if you have not already, and come to some gatherings, which are one of the most fertile places for ideas and seeing what others have done.

Hi JanxAngel, and welcome aboard...

I suggest taking Shadow Catcher's advice and taking in an outing or two, link up with the folks on TearJerkers and TnTTT and see if you can get a few tours of others' builds and buys; this can really help in the design stage...
