Excited builder from Florida

Postby Bengrey » Tue Apr 19, 2016 11:37 am

Hello all!
My name is Ben, and although I just got an account on the website I've been lurking around for the last several months. Love all the great knowledge that you all share!
I've been planning a TT and if everything goes according to plan (cue Murphy's law) should start framing by this weekend!
Glad to finally be an official part of the community and to be schooled by all of you more experienced fellas and ladies!

Welcome aboard, Ben. Now that you are here, tell us a bit about yourself, your skills, woodwoking experience and such. We want to help you as you proceed with your build. What size, what shape, what material, what stuff in the galley, etc. Good luck w/the build.
:) 8) Roly~~

Hello Ben and WELCOME. There are a number of us from Florida on the site. I live about 90 miles north of you, my daughter lives in Brandon so we are down there a fair amount.

You're welcome to come up and visit anytime, we're retired, so pretty much at home when not traveling

Welcome Ben. I too am from Florida, but migrated north to Alaska. Best wishes on your build. Post pictures when you can. Bryan

Thanks!
I used to be a mechanic so I've got a bit of experience with wrench turning and mechanical troubleshooting.
I'm a hobby woodworker but have actually decided to go with a steel build (I thoroughly enjoy any excuse to weld). Will probably keep the wood construction for the interior.
My design is leaning more towards a semi canned ham as my trailer is fairly long (12') and reasonably wide (7')
Just got the frame construction done yesterday, so I'll see about uploading some pics

Dave, I just may have to come up and visit, its been awesome getting the chance to look at finished trailers for ideas!
