Howdy

Postby stephent » Wed Jun 22, 2016 6:39 pm

Well, howdy from barely north central Arkansas.. I've been lurking for quite a bit, but finally decided if I'm going to steal...errrr....implement y'alls designs and thoughts on building a tiny teardrop I had better be upfront about it. probably...maybe.
I'm retired and have a mostly usably stocked wood/metal working shop. I started planning on retirement and working on projects several years before retiring.. Plans don't always work out like we imagine.... but here I am!
I'm figuring one of these little campers will be all I need when I traipse around instead of those high dollar motels that may/may not be available for holidays and for sure beat the heck out of setting up my tent every night.. tents in the west look more like serving up a "bear taco" to me. I have used them before in the Colo/Wyoming mountains though... years ago.
Been looking for a trailer the last couple of weeks...I'll get there.
But ...howdy from Steve... (stephent)

Welcome Steve! Arkansas is a beautiful state with great national and state parks and national forests. There are plenty of wonderful camping opportunities. BTW, I lived in Hot Springs in the late 1990s. Take care, Tom.

Hi Steve, welcome to the forum. It looks like you are on the right track to comfortable teardrop trailer usage. Keep an eye on TDs that are for sale, if that is what you choose, and if you become a builder, check out the many builds on these pages. Ask questions and you'll get answers, as we are here to help. Good luck on what ever path you take. Also, get involved with the Tear Jerkers in your area, and you can attend their gatherings, with or without a trailer. It's a great way to get ideas regarding wonderful teardrop camping.
