Hello
My wife and I started camping in a Sears metal box with canvas strung over top circa 1950s.....this worked fine until 2 adults, 1 small child and 1 baby and a large dog filled it up.
We moved up to a Bon Air 13' pop-top beast..a pile of room, but we were much too comfortable.....so we sold the trailer and invested in canoes and smaller tents.
Portaging we go...with our family and with Scouts/Venturers. We really have some great wilderness in Ontario! Portaging is still a pleasure for us.
So now as the nest starts to thin out, and I spend more time in the workshop, a "Wyoming Woody" is the design of choice. What a great site "http://teardropbuilder.com/"....as a person that wants to understand all details before diving in, the site is absolutely fantastic.
So the first step is to review the trailer frame design, my car (2014 Forester) hitch height, and the desired torsion axle angle. I have access to some great welders.
Next step will be customizing the interior and exterior cabinets.
Until next post.
