Things I have (slowly) learned

Postby 2rabbits_ td » Mon Jun 08, 2020 4:25 am

We completed our teardrop ( or at least made it serviceable ) in September 2019. My wife and I started this project in March 2016. Our teardrop is a 4x8, built on a northern tool trailer, it is woody / PMF covered . Gross empty weight is 1020 lbs, the camper itself is 790 lbs. I have learned:
1. You will need help to complete this project. It truly takes a village, and it’s helpful if your significant other is just as nuts for starting this thing in the first place.

2. You don’t need to be especially talented, just really determined.

3. Just start the project!. We started with no money and no tools with even less experience and managed to create a functional teardrop camper.

4. There will be times you just want to make a bonfire of it in the driveway. Step back, reevaluate, and work through it. !Image

I find that sitting, staring at the problem with an ice cold Bud in my hand has a tendency to "lubricate the neurons".
