New guy from North of Seattle

Postby JasenC » Sun Oct 24, 2021 3:43 pm

Howdy all and thanx for having me.
I'm Jasen, I build things, it's what I do.
I've been in residential construction for over 30 years, been a woodworker for over 40 years, some welding skills and shade tree mechanic, all though I do less of that due to all the computers and I'm not as young and spry as I once was.

It would appear that I've caught the micro camper bug, so I'm here to learn from all of you as well as share my knowledge in construction.
5 weeks in Sketchup and I've settled of my squaredrop design. Ordered a 5x8 Ironton trailer (Northern tool) thru Amazon which is at the freight shippers now, waiting for them to call to set up delivery. Trying to stick to the $3500 budget Mrs. Boss approved, we'll see how that goes.

Anyway, hope to learn a little, steal, I mean barrow some ideas and help out where I can.
I'll be done when I'm finished, if that's not fast enough, take a number.

Welcome from the Puyallup area.
A great resource is Crosscut Lumber in George Town. the woodwork’s candy store.

That place is more dangerous then Hardwicks was, on your wallet haha.

I used to work for their parent company Emerson hardwoods, I was the warehouse supervisor for their flooring division out in Woodinville.

Hardwicks was a great hardware store.
Now the only reason for us to go up that way is Crosscut.
We stay out of Seattle.
