Just introducing myself quickly. I am from Central NJ, and I want to get started with a DIY teardrop trailer to be able to head outdoors more! Let me know if you are close by in NJ or the tri state area.

I'm in NYS but about as far as possible from you as possible and still be in NYS.

I can't speak to those plans, but my sense is many or most builders here don't buy plans. Maybe it's a great idea for those that do.

I assume most here don't as well, but if I tried it on my own form the ground up, id be a massive mess. Id definitely do better with plans, building, and then modifying it in the future for anything else id want to add! Maybe for my second build ill hold all of the knowledge and little knacks needed to design my own!

Hopefully I can see you around some day with our teardrops!

Hi,

I'm just south of Albany, NY. I took a simpler rougher approach..
No plans. Just a sketch I made and drawn onto the foam.
Take pictures of everything. It makes repairs if needed easier.
