need for torsion axles ?????

Postby dpjeansonne » Fri Oct 11, 2013 9:02 am

I see many if not most seem to have trailers 12 ft and less with spring axles. I know torsion axles are better and give smoother rides with its independent action but is spring axles adequate for a trailer that would be 60 -75% loaded and relatively short trips?
Torsion axles for the trailers I have been pricing requires going up to a medium grade offering which adds some $600 -$700. Seems like quite expensive to me when there are so many springs out there.

Any comments welcomed.

It's only about what your willing to spend
90% have springs ......
Some here are even willing to fight to the death, that they are better.....
The 90% will tell you their springs are the best because they never tried or can't afford torsion.

There is a 90% CHANCE you will get springs
