B,

That's the spirit!

Picture this: You pull into an Oregon State Park campground with your trailer, drop the ramp, start to relax and other campers walking by look in and can't believe their eyes. They have generic, cookie-cutter RVs made of plastic on the inside. They love your wood interior and the whole idea of your RV and want to talk to the rock star who made it so they can fantasize about having what you have and doing what you did. You are their inspiration for a moment in time. Life is good.

:beautiful:

P.S. Driftwood adds a touch of magic.

Every time I see photos of someone building, it makes me wish I had one to start from scratch.

Not that my project was no good.

But that putting one together can be so fun and original.
My goal...

beccae,

Go for it!! Sound like you got a plan and the motivation. I doubt there isn't a CT made that doesn't have something we're not happy with. Adapt and overcome.

Here is a shot of the front of my CT before insulation. Just happened to catch it in a pic of my epoxy painted floor.

Looking forward to keeping up with your build progress!

Dadgum it! I cut that board 5 times and it's still too short!

No kidding. Mine came with no side door, no windows, no ceiling vent and no trailer brakes.

P.S. ...and no interior ambience-enhancing driftwood. ;-)

Earnest,

The driftwood shelf supports were easy. It was cutting down, framing in, and installing the RV door that was hard. (Measure 4 times, cut once.) :frightened:
