Florida 6 x 12 Toyhauler

Postby racedad105 » Tue Nov 12, 2013 6:48 am

Hi everyone, I spent a BUNCH of time lurking here on the forum deciding how to get my sons motorcycles and atv's to the different races throughout the SE. I'm not very "tool-inclined", so I needed to find a trailer that had much of the work already done. I ended up with a 6x12 Lark from Right Trailers in Lakeland, FL. I had the factory finish the interior, and do the electric. The 6x12 V-Nose is insulated, vinyl covered walls (over the plywood), vinyl floor, 13.5 A/C (which I think is overkill, but hey, it's Florida), 15 ft shore power line, RV-style door, and two 30x30 windows.

Once I got it home, I added two fold-down benches on either side, with legs that fold shut. The benches fold up to the side with piano hinges, and latch, leaving the entire box open. There are two leaves that fit under the benches. Each bench has 3 pipe straps that I run pieces of galvanized pipe across, lay the leaves, take the back of the benches down and have a good nights rest on a 6-ft bed. The cushions ride in a cargo net attached to the ceiling when the trailer is in "Cargo Mode".

I've now added a counter in the V, and shelves slightly recessed back from the edge of the counter. My problem now is that I have too much wood, and don't know what to do with it! Every time I think of something, I remember that I need to leave the box open for travel!

Thanks to everyone for being such an inspiration.

Thank you! I wish that I had the skill to do as many on here have done, but unfortunately, it would come out looking like a piece of modern art. While cool, I'm not sure it would be that functional.... :D
