Sold my pop up camper and buying a CT. I'm on a limited budget, and will be spending most of said budget on the base trailer. I will be adding upgrades as time and money permits and will be an ongoing build. I live in Texas and will be camping mostly during warm/hot weather. I am wanting to add a window shaker type unit asap. My pup had a roof mounted ac and worked very well at keeping it cool. Here's my question... How much different is a non-insulated pop up than a non-insulated CT. If I wanted to get camping right away, will I be fighting a losing battle at keeping the trailer cool?

It's good to consider, no doubt. Cooler air holds less moisture, still I have a 6x10 with a shaker and uninsulated walls (ceiling is 3" fibreglas) and I haven't experienced any condensation. Does cool it fine. 5200 BTU drops me from 90 F to 72 F in half an hour.
It will cool it fine But if you can get the blue board insolation just 1-2 at a time as you can afford to start with the ceiling and then the walls it want be long and you be done but you will want to get it done some time if you need trailer parts there is a great parts store in Arlington called Red Neck Trailer Parts the are very helpful Well good luck with your trailer
