I'm building a power pack to run the 110v plugs inside. I'm enclosing a 35ah SLA battery in an electrical box. I have an SAE lead to use to hook up the charger and I have a switched voltmeter wired up to be able to check the voltage. I'm just waiting for the 800W continuous /1600W peak inverter to come in the mail. I'm going to wire that to the battery and mount it on top of the box. This will be kept in the tongue box and can be used on the road where electrical hookup isn't available. :) It's basically in place of a generator. I know it will only last so long before recharging, but it should do for the basics.

I'm thinking I found a low cost, nice solution for a removable roof rack.

It's like a normal thule/yakima style rack, but instead of using rain gutter, it uses a nylon strap. For a car, that goes in between the body and the door. I am thinking I can attach something to the side of the trailer to connect it, like a footman loop:

This setup seems nice also, because it would be easily removable. My trailer will barely fit in my garage and I don't think it would with the rack on it.

Any thoughts?

I used one of those rubber footed racks for a couple years. No matter how tight you crank the straps, they will move around on washboard roads. They are fine for pavement. I have since switched to Yakima racks.

Did you try any "traction enhancement" like gluing a chunk of rubber to the bottom of the foot?

nevermind on that rack idea, the roof on the cargo trailers aren't "hard enough to use something like that. I'll have to use a side mount ladder style rack that they normally have.

Here's the installed TV:

I ended up getting the racks from the manufacturer.

I ordered some plastic plugs to stick in the top to protect stuff from the sharp edges.

This is the completed power pack:

I can use it to power the 110v inside and I made an adapter to plug the battery into the 4 prong flat harness to power the interior 12v lights.

The only pain is, that ALL of the lights on the trailer are then powered on. So, in order to make it a little nicer, I ordered a remote controlled 12v switch, to put inline. So, now I can just switch them off from inside the trailer. :)

My roof vent doesn't have a fan, so I did this:
