Dehumidifiers - conventional or peltier?

Postby khigh » Wed Oct 01, 2014 5:27 pm

Has anyone used a peltier type dehumidifier for a CT or any other RV?

The price is right and it's such a small space, but you'd have to empty it about every day and here in GA if you open the door when it's 8000% humidity, you're probably going to defeat everything a small dehumidifier like that has done in the last 24 hours. The energy cost should be a lot lower and the price is right - here's one for $54

But I'm worried about performance. Conventionals start around $150, but they have tanks that should last a week in such a small space. Or I could even plumb it out into the yard (no need for holding atmospheric water parked at my own house). And of course the energy costs would be higher.

Any thoughts/experiences?
