Wow. I just spent way too much time preparing a reply and I got too many tabs going and now poof it's gone OMG! :cry:

On the faucet connection. I thought maybe just two of the Qest nuts would work but wasn't sure. I'll include a couple of pictures. One of the nut. One of the female to male adapter.

Paul,

Sorry to hear of your troubles, copy and save are pretty handy actions...

The nuts are the right thread but won't seal against the bottom of the faucet nipple, the coupler as you have pictured with the nut will.

So the female adapter is the one I need. That is helpful. I ordered all the Qest stuff saturday. It hasn't been processed over the weekend. I'll try calling them monday morning and see if I can add those to the order and get it in one box.

I read your recommendations. Again, very helpful thanks. I have some basic knowledge of waste management in an RV. I lived full time in my Newell for a while plus I've been doing some homework online. I understand the need for venting. I ordered a hepvo for the sink drain trap. If there is no holding tank and the hepvo is preventing gas from entering through the sink line and the toilet bowl is always filled, how can the sewer gasses get in? Obviously this is not a conventional setup but I'd really like to try and see if I can make it work. If it turns out to be a bust, I'll tear it all out and start over if I have to. I have no idea how I would vent the toilet drain. I don't want to run a vent pipe up through the interior through the roof. If I have to have a vent for the sewer drain then I'm going to have to start thinking about how to do it. Just spitballing, that 3" 90 with the 1.5" side inlet I ordered from HD, maybe I could use that for the elbow coming down from the flange and use the 1.5" side inlet for the vent pipe or something resembling that idea?

Oh, and am I going to need one of those female adapters to connect to the Dometic 310?

Just got my first batch of Qest fittings in the mail. Do these require teflon tape on ALL threads?

I've got the plumbing done underneath the trailer so I'm posting some pics of it. I'm aware that there needs to be clearance between the pipes and anything that could chafe them. Couple of areas that were close. I'll keep an eye on them. This was tricky but I came up with the best solution I could think of. The 1.5 inch is the sink drain. It is connected to the side inlet of the 3 inch elbow of the toilet drain. There is a 3" x 1.5" tee connected to the 3" elbow. The 1.5" outlet on the 3" tee is facing up for a vertical stack vent that will run from the floor and exit the roof of the trailer. When I get that installed I'll post some pictures of it.

Here are a couple more and a couple pics of the water inlet. I've got the inlet lines installed. When I have the stack vent in and the toilet put back, I'll post some pictures of the water inlet plumbing, the vent and the sink drain. This is obviously not a conventional setup so only time and usage will determine how well it works and I'll report on it in the future.

Your plumbing work looks fantastic! :applause: :thumbsup: :applause: Thank you for posting pictures.

Can you say what type of a closet flange you used - a residential style or RV style?

Take care,
Tom

Trailmate, Howdy;

You may want to get ahold of one of these to dress up the top of the vent pipe.

Thanks guys! Tom, here is the closet flange I used: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Sioux-Chief- ... /202313218

I've done all the work on this outdoors in a private trailer storage area so I don't have water to it to test the system. The flange appeared to be a perfect fit for the dometic 310. I'll haul the trailer to the house to test the plumbing soon and, eventually, the ultimate test will be at a campsite and I'll report my findings.

Hank, thanks for the link. I was contemplating some sort of cover for the vent.
