Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

I have a 1998 Pace 6x10 that i'm converting to a camper. I'm in the process now of putting a slider window in the door. This all started because the door was swelling at the bottom and hard to open or close. Once I opened it up it was obvious that water had penetrated the inside and rotted out the wood frame inside the door. After rebuilding the door frame, insulating it, painting the sheet metal and installing the window and new rv style lock with dead bolt along with new luan ply inside, I'm close to putting on the new piano hinge and door trim. I don't know how old your trailer is but regular caulking to every seam is the best prevention!! Mine all started with the window idea. Hope this helps you out some, this is my first and I'm learning as I go. Good luck to you, this by far is the best resource site out there.
