insulation

I"m going to do it. I am going to insulate the side walls of out 6X12 cargo trailer. A retired woodworker near us is going to custum make side beds for us that will fold down over our tandem, recumbent trike we will ne hauling. I need to have the insulation in before he does that. his insulation task might seem like nothing to some, but my brain is directionally challenged...I. get things turned around easily, have trouble getting the gas door on the car on the side towards the gas pump, if I happen to pull in wrong. Not dyslexic reader, but in many tother tings my brain realy struggles with keeping directional things straight. t is not uncommon for me to put some part or pece in backwards when trying to assemble something.
Yes, I admit it I am the lady that guys sit in thier cars and laugh at saying, "Yep, look thier she goes again.same thing. She'll run out of gas before she gets it right. ". Then the buddy says,"Shall we help her?". 1st guy replies, "Nope. This is far too entertaining."
I don't think getting the plywood off will be too hard, it's screwed on, the insulation shouldn't be that hard to cut and put in. The part I am most nervous about is getting all the plywood back in the right place when I'm done. Hope there won't be 2 guys sitting in a car watching that part!
Seriously, I plan to label all the plywood pieces, then tale pics before dissaembling them. Hope my plan works....

When I did mine it went back together a lot quicker than it came apart and it came apart pretty fast!
If the sides are just screwed on to the studs then the screws and holes will line right back up making short work of the reassembly I would bet.

Just start off each panel by making sure the screws really do go right back in over the width of the pale and then the rest should be easy.

Yes, it helps. Between that, the pictures and labeling, I am hoping it will be easy. I don't like some of the things my brain does with directional stuff, but it is what it is. I just have to do my best to have a back up plan that will make sense and help me sort it out if I get stuck. I am still apprehensive sometimes to take some projects on, for fear that Il get stack and have no one to rescue me. I need to just suck it u and tell myself I can do this. Last night I was ready to hire this phase done, but my hubby, who is blind, talked me out of it. Gave me a good "Rah-Rah" talk about the tough stuff I've overcome before etc. Guess the talk helped because today I bought the insulation. lol

Just a heads up... If the fasteners that secure the interior plywood to the metal ribs appear to be Phillips head screws they might be and they might not. There are some fasteners with what appear to be screw heads, that will not unscrew. They just spin. I don't know if they have a proper name but when I stripped the interior out of out CT, I called then "those #!!@#^&-damned things!" They had to be pried out or the plywood pulled to make the heads pull through the plywood. You will know what you have as soon as you go to unscrew them.
