Pulled the Trigger

Postby Bownut » Sat Jun 25, 2016 6:43 am

Been lurking here for a while and finally ordered my 8.5 x 18 Lark yesterday. The plan is to go simple at first and add "details" as we can afford it and have time. Ordered it insulated ( I know, but I don't have a lot of time) and braced roof vent for AC. Planning to install a Coleman power saver 13,500 roof air. The trailer will primarily be used for a deer lease camper in south Texas to store the Polaris when we are not there. It will be run by a generator and or solar with a few led lights and possibly a small frig and microwave. Maybe tv later. We will have a outside shower and portable toilet so little to no plumbing involved (another maybe later thing). So...... I haven't figured out what I need for the elctrical system yet. Like I said, simple is good. What are your suggestions on a converter/charger, solar set up (I'm thinking 3 -100 watt panels)? Thanks in advance and I'm looking forwarded to sharing the build.

Good luck on your build.

One of the easiest improvements you can do is painting the roof with solar reflective paint. A gal of Henry's was about $20 at Ace Hardware when I bought it. It does an amazing job at keeping the CT cooler.

Thanks! Definitely one of my first chores.
