Hey Donut,
I guess I must have misunderstood your plan for the skid rollers. I thought you were having them welded direct to rear frame so they would be the lowest point back there. I think what you have there will work well, however I'm not sure about using rollers for stability jacks. Just in case, think about building or modifying jacks with a traditional "foot". Maybe just a pair of blocks with a roller sized cup carved out to keep the rollers stable and out of the mud?
Anyways, you are moving right along there. One bite at a time. Nice job. ... ...

PS. You'll want to use the stability jacks on all four corners when you plan to have the trailer setting somewhere for a while. Get some of those levels at Walmart and level the frame at all four corners, taking some of the weight off the springs. Then attach levels at all four corners and maybe one in the middle of frame right/left and front/rear.

Then you'll have 7 points of contact with the ground, spreading the load out and taking the rocking and bouncing out of the trailer. The reason for levelling is so that the doors and ramp and walls are more square. Then when you add things like cabinets, they will be square and level. When you get to campsite, just level up and all should work as built.

You are correct, i will not be using these to stabilize, only to get in and out of driveway. I am going to cut them down, give or take where paint ends, so they are removable without using a floor jack. I will be using scissor jacks or stands for stabilizing in the rear, which ever i can find cheaper.

Guy ended up doing a fine job on them and the red was a nice added touch. Going to get trailer today and hope to get new tongue jack on and get that baby in the back yard.

SUCCESS!!! Skid wheels did their job and got the trailer up the driveway with out a problem, only minor marks where wheels rolled up. Now that it is at the house the process will begin. Was going to start with the roof, but that is going to depend on temps and weekends ill hunt so wont have many weekend full days to work on it. Going to start on the inside with insulation and electrical hopefully.

And PLEASE excuse the mess and the fence, its the neighbors fence and it has fallen a few times and i just put up band aids until its totally useless, but the trailer fit under the carport perfectly. With it under there fixng the leaks isnt going to bother me quite as much

Taking down the interior walls to prep studs and insulate.

What thickness ply are yall using for walls? Its 1/4" up now and just feel like its a bit thin.

I used .197" (5 mm) Luan. About 170Lbs less than the 3/8" plywood that the trailer came with, and much cleaner for paint. https://www.lowes.com/pd/RevolutionPly- ... 8/50121135

I used 3/8 A/C grade since its easy to find and the "A" face gives a nice finish side if painting. I also ran mine with the seams vertical.

Hunting season is done so hopefully that will let me really get started on trailer... but baseball season has started and we are 5 days a week so will see how that goes, will give me weekends though.

I did score on Frigidaire window unit today. Very kind, generous gentlemen was clearing out shed and just wanted it gone. Didnt want any money for it. it was bought new this summer for a bedroom at the beach and is in like new shape. At 5k btu itll be perfect for the trailer, and will certainly help the budget not having to put down $100-140 for a new window unit. It should be perfect, size is small and exactly what i had in mind... right place right time, and very grateful.

Found some rolled aluminum for dirt cheap, even though not super pricey to begin with. Im thinking of picking it up to kind of "skin" the top of my front counter tops and put some type of 1/2"-1/4" border just to keep stuff from rolling off. Im also thinking itll helps to prevent wood from staining or painted tops getting messed up.

Anybody tried to dress stuff up with rolled aluminum? Tried to browse through a few builds but didnt really see much.
