You could use that, but I would use an automatic 12-volt battery charger.

This might work ok for my 120v. I was thinking I could use a small house panel like I did on my first build but this might look nicer.

Do you have an example?

Powermax 110 Volt to 12 Volt DC Power Supply Converter Charger for Rv Pm3-55 (55 Amp)

That thing looks like a monster. Get a Noco smart charger.

So you just cut the clamps off and crimp on a ring terminal?

Edit- I see you can buy an accessory cord with ring terminals

My 10-amp charges my sealed battery well, and then it throttles down to trickle charge automatically. I don't need anything larger for my use. But, my lithium charger has more charging amps.

I was wondering on size too. I don’t foresee needing a lot of charging amps.

This charger supposedly works with lithium too right?

I have two chargers.... one for lithium and one for AGM, etc. My old charger does not charge Lithium. You have to read the specs to see what one charges.

Here's one that should charge everything I have, but do your on research. What works for me might not work for you:

Amazon got some orders from me today.
I might actually get this thing done someday. :-)
My Airhead toilet is still a month or more from being delivered I suppose. I’ve got a lot to do yet.
Today I did some more framing around shower and a little more plumbing.

Our build plan

Postby nsfr1206 » Thu Jan 20, 2022 6:50 pm

Worked on framing some today. I cut 1x4’s from 1” (the thickness of the channel running in the top corners of the trailer) to about 2.5” today and screwed them to my roof bows to flatten the ceiling and give me something to fasten ceiling material to. I’m not sure what to put on ceiling. I wanted some of the individual pieces of bead board to install but may need to use the ply. I didn’t want the joint all across the trailer cause it looks kinda fake and I’ll have to put a strip of wood across it. Any other, better ideas for ceiling material?
I also laid out where my fresh water tank will go under bed and got it ordered. Once it’s here I can frame bed platform and plumb tank and pressure pump. I went with the pump and pressure tank combo.

I ran 4'x8' 1/4" Birch Plywood down the center of the trailer lengthwise (nose to ramp) instead of across (side to side). There is one seam in the middle that I covered with a nice piece of trim. You can sort of see it in picture where the cabinet on left comes out into the cabin. I did it this way to avoid lots of seams; my upper cabinets will cover the rest of the ceiling on the sides (plan to make them at least 16" deep). Trailer is 7 feet wide (less 3") and my box is only 16 foot long. The rest of my length is in the v-nose which the roof slopes down and there will be bathroom door where the roof seam would be.

Just a thought; have fun with it. :)

Thanks! How far apart are your nailers at roof? I’m a little worried about sag with mine being around 24”. I wish I had ordered it at 16”.

I ripped true 1" wide 1x4 down the middle and hung those next to each of the roof framing members (roof 16" OC); kind of like having ceiling joists in a house. My roof has a small arch to it, so I made the inside flat and have between 3 and 4 inches of insulation in the roof (less on the sides more in the center). Each board ended up being roughly 1-3/4" wide. Seems to work pretty good; haven't noticed any sagging.
edit added here:
Depending on what your roof looks like inside (arch or flat roof?) you might be able to rig up some extra rafters like mine by using blocking between each rafter running parallel with wall. My rafters actually sit on the wall frame and attach to the side of each aluminum roof framing member.
