Moved to Scaddon Wash BLM area to be more secluded. Set up the HF radio system and already making contacts all over North America. I can hear South America, but don't speak Spanish. Lol

I'm trying to decide on blue or white lights for under my trailer. I hear they chase the mice away, but I don't know. I hear they will chew on you truck wires under the hood too. Just rumors perhaps.

Why not just install multicolored LEDs and then you can select any color you want

I've heard the same thing, but I think it is more of a problem when people stay weeks at a time without moving the vehicle. Rodents set up house.

How's the internet streaming out there with so many people right now? I have old truly unlimited plans on all three carriers, so I should be covered hopefully.

It's not bad late at night.. but it is not real good during daytime. Many folks sharing bandwidth..I am on T-Mobile and have good coverage just about everywhere out here.

Still out in the desert. Moved locations a few days ago. CTC is working great! Solar is keeping me powered. Could do even better if I could tilt the panels. Only getting about 50% with sun lower in the sky.

Water situation with 40 gallons in truck to transfer is ideal for me. I still have at least 25 gallons and could stay put another week with that. Only used for dishes and hot shower which I can do with about 4 gallons Navy style.

Letting gray water run free. It soaks in and dries up almost immediately.

Porta Potti great for nights. Using a bag inside for #2 so no blackwater per se.

Chinese diesel heater is Awesome! Uses very little diesel and does a fantastic job keeping it all warm at night. Dropped into the 30s a few nights so far and I fired it up.

May be moving it down to Yuma in the next day or so. Will go back into town and re-provision when I move.

Awesome experience so far. Riding is great out here! Able to send email via HF radio to Winlink servers connected to other HAM nodes all over the Southwest and Northwest. Not needed with cell service, but nice to have when I am out of range.

My K9 Lexus model security system is fully functional too. Sometimes get a few false alarms. Coyotes making a racket outside at night seem to set it off. Lol

Looks like a great time. Nice to be able to enjoy a beautiful place and be away from crowds of people.

SureCall cellphone booster is earning its keep. I am near Standard Wash south of Lake Havasue City about 5 miles off-road. No cellphone at all outside the CTC. The phone says it is not registered on a network. Inside the CTC I have LTE and can make and take calls. Streaming is only 1mbs however. If I had my Hi Gain yagi (directional) on, it would probably do better. Just using the Omnidirectional. Good enough!

My ham license is expired. Should get it renewed before I have to retest. I’m just a tech so probably won’t be able to reach you way over there.
