Mark, I didn't see in your thread what brand of fan you have but thought these instructions might help some depending on what kind of inside trim ring your fan has. Check out page 3 step 6 as an example of how the maxxaire fan does their trim ring. Worked pretty good on my two fans. I have the Maxxaire 5100k fans.

Maybe this will help or maybe not. Good luck!
Harry :)

I have the maxxfan 4500k model, same as you posted. I think I was letting the little guy in my head mess with me. just over thinking things , once again. I will give it a go on Monday. Have to work the next few days. Thanks again everybody for the input.
Thanks Mark

So it's been a while . Temps have been 98-104 , so it been slow going. I have the basics done so I can at least use it out on fires if need be.
I have the insulation done on the sides, still need to finish the insulation on front and roof. The slats are only there to hold the insulation in place till i can put up the panneling. Got the fan installed, with some wireing done. Until I can get a real battery, I am going to use my M12 battery. I have a 9 amh battery that will run the fan on high for 3 hours. I built a plat form for the mattres to sleep on. It also has plenty of storage underneath. Mounted the spare tire on the end of the bed for now to get it out of the way. It will be mounted outside later. I mounted another cam bar latch to lock the handles, so some smart ass dosen't lock me in. Also added a porch light.

Looking good, so far. Working available time on weekends, my 6x12 took me a year to reach what I’m gonna call 90% complete. I also agree with how you are completing a portion and getting it usable until the next phase. This style of build process enabled me to camp and avoid building in systems that didn’t work in the field.

Later, and stay safe.
