I just finished painting last weekend. Hopefully I'll get it all cleaned up this weekend and get some pictures posted.
Thanks, Ed

With your RV experience, I'm probably wrong, but that slight sway with crosswinds might be from inadequate hitch weight. There's a lot of weight in back with 4 big batteries and the AC unit. Not sure what's inside. What's the overall weight and tongue weight?

By the way, a great looking rig.

I'm going to put it on a truck scale as soon as I finish installing everything. It's just for curiosity sake as the weight is maybe 1/4 the tow capacity of my truck. I have a tongue scale but I haven't weighed it yet. I'll weigh the tongue next time we have it packed-up for a trip.
The sway I'm talking about is with a substantial cross wind that would make any camper sway. Even then it has very little sway. 99.99% of the time it goes perfectly straight even at 75mph.

You're probably fine weight wise then. It's always good to know what the rig weighs and how it is distributed fore and aft, left and right.

Good weight distribution. Got sway? It's not the tail wagging the dog with that one ton you're pulling it with...or with that weight distributing set up. It's LIKELY pulsating air flow down the sides at highway speeds. See the video at http://www.airtab.com.

Best wishes,

Prem :D

Good eye. It's actually remnants of my old bed frame. Just never removed it.

I saw a thread where someone else was using those but I don't remember what forum it was. They also said Airtabs worked well. I actually don't have any sway with or without the Blue Ox. I just like to use it. It makes the trailer and truck feel like one unit especially if I have to make any sudden defensive maneuvers because some moron on his cell phone can't be bothered to look before entering the highway (happened to me last week coming home from Maine). :x Than again, maybe a Honda Accord would make a nice hood ornament.

Ed,

I've never towed with a weight distributing hitch set up, but I always thought they were for safely towing heavy trailers or when using a light tow vehicle. You've taken it to a new level.
