Fantastic Fan - best price

Postby drcurran » Thu Apr 21, 2011 9:47 am

Need some suggestion here. With a Fantastic Fan do most of us need more than the Model 8000 which has 3 speeds and no reverse? Is it worth the extra money to have the reverse feature? Also, I've found Model 8000 for $80 plus shipping. Anyone know of a better price. Thanks for the help.

I've had good luck on e-bay. Bought both of my fantastic fans from there. One BV8100 for 56.34 (including shipping), and a Create-A-Breeze 8000 for 84.99+19shipping.

So your price for the 8000 is decent. Although, the 8100 was a much nicer fan. electric up/down, and continuously variable fan speed.

If you're looking on ebay, FanasticVent has a file that lists the features of all the 46 different models that they offer OEMs. Since most of the fans on ebay are pulls from RVs, you can check that file to see what a specific model offers.

Oh, and if you buy a used one, just email FantasticVent and they'll send you a new interior trim piece.

...are you sure it is a Fantastic Fan...don't see that model number on their site...there are inferior but similar looking products out there...here are the the absolute best folks to deal with for a Fantastic Fan...I give em an AAA+ rating as a vendor... http://www.rvvent.com/index2.htm

p.s. WE LOVE the reversing feature...exhaust makes it like an attic fan...reverse is like a ceiling fan....mj

Its really nice to be able to reverse the fan.. During the day Exhaust helps cool the trailer.. At night using the fan as a intake works well.. Even more so if you sleep close to the fan.. It blows nice cool night air on you...

the 8000 is the "create-a-breeze". It's the basic model. 3 speeds. no reverse. Manual crank.

I bought the top model fantastic fan and do not regret it. The auto close feature paid for itself one afternoon when a sudden rain squall came through. I was away from the trailer and when I came back the cover was closed and about 30 minutes after it stopped raining the cover automatically opened and the fan started up. Works as advertised! Also, pretty quiet compared to some others. I got the themrostat controlled model and set it to keep air moving through during the day. Works great! In my build journal I have a few pics of installation.
