Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

tongue weight

For those using a 6x12 V-nose (or similar), what is your "finished" tongue weight?

Did you have to move the axle (like on a TD)??

Thanks

Just like buying a travel trailer there isn't a need to move the axels on a cargo trailer.
but isn't there always a but? you should be aware of the fore and aft balance of the trailer.
In other words don't put all the heavy items behind the axel and you don't want all the heavy items in front of the axel either.
try to maintain 10% to a 15% weight of the trailer on the tounge.
trailer weights 2000# tongue weight should be 200 to 300 pounds.
have fun doing a conversion.
