Roof material ?

Any preferences regarding roof material, i.e. galvalum v aluminum v fiberglass v "other"

Am working up a request for proposal for cargo trailer companies....not sure what the best roof is.

WT, the Best roof material is one that doesn't leak , survives just fine outside in the elements , requires NO caulking or "periodic inspections " like most commercial RVs do ... and fends off small branches and limbs ..
Thinking Metal is the best alternative ... I put a steel roof on my house and Studio ... 11 years out in the elements and No problems ... My all Steel CT shows NO problems living outside ...

We no longer consider anything RV related to be viable ... Rubber/ plastic roofs, what a Joke (and the Joke is on you ) Fiberglass , may not much better depending on the materials used ... We've seen some CT fiberglass front roof caps , cracked ... for whatever reason ... don't want that ...

Seamless metal seems to be the best option ... IMHO You do want the best roof possible .... that's where most of the problems start ... Good roof , less worries ...

Thought I would stick this in here. For those who have roof seams and don't want them to leak, I highly recommend Eternabond aluminum pressure sensitive tape. We use the 6" wide version to tape over all our roof seams. No caulking ever required. Lifetime warranty. It is expensive at around $2 per foot, but we like the apply once and forget about it aspect.

Will work on a variety of surfaces, but we have only ever used it on aluminum roofs (1987 Avion and now cargo trailer conversion).
