Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

Made the plunge!

Postby denmohr » Thu Oct 27, 2011 4:15 pm

I have sold my 6x12 tool trailer and am finalizing my decision on the trailer to build-out.

As a cabinetmaker, I am going to do something a little different, I am creating modules that can be installed and removed as the spirit moves me.
I also sold my full size pickup, so this will be my little tool trailer til the phone finally stops ringing and I am in complete retirement!

I will share my plans as they are finalized.

I think I'm going with a 5x8 stealth, due to my towing with my Jeep.
I want to thank all for the wonderful resource I have enjoyed on this forum and look forward to sharing my build with ya'll. Den

Den,

One thing to keep in mind when building your cabinets, and it almost caught us off guard, is that when we built our refrigerator/microwave cabinet it had to be built in-place due to the low roof, you can't tip it and stand it up inside the trailer.

And fastening things to the wall takes a good sheet metal screw into a stud to hold big things.
