Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

Making progress!

You should be a little concerned about welding close to the skin. When I welded in my studs for windows I even removed the screws holding the skin and stuck some thin plywood between the studs and trailers skin. At the very least to much heat will bubble the paint on the outside.

For the 110v, I used metal clad wire. Solid wire should be fine I would just be a little concerned about the wire not being protected by anything.. Its probably not an issue, just make sure the wire is strapped well so vibration doesn't wear into the wires insulation..

Well here's a quick picture from last night. The lower cabinets for the galley and the closet are just about finished. I stick framed them using 1x2 knot free pine. I wanted to do oak but that was cost prohibitive. The lower part of the closet will hold the power distribution panel.

Question:

My roof braces are 1" square 1/16" steel tube. How much additional bracing will be needed for a 100lb ac unit? The tubes are 15" apart at the spot where I'm putting the ac.

I would reinforce the AC space with some stringers on both sides of the AC unit and maybe where the rear of the unit sits.

Well I had to use the trailer last weekend, and I'll be using it again this coming sunday, and then again in 2 weeks. So I've kind of had to throw some things together just to be able to use it. My electrical wiring is temporarily wired to be powered by extension cord, but I just got my marinco 30amp inlet so I'll be installing that soon.

Ok here are a couple of pictures as it sits. My Pit-Bull racing trailer restraint for is installed, I highly recommend it if you are toting a motorcycle, It removes all the straps and chocks and holds the bike via the rear axle.

I've added a cabinet for the microwave, and installed the Rubbermaid Fasttrack Hook system over the drivers side bed. Still need to get a counter top worked out, build the other bed, and find SOMEONE to build me some cabinet doors. Anyone have info on doors? All the online suppliers are going to be several hundred to have them build and ship me 6 cabinet doors.

I see you installed some of that Rubbermaid Fasttrack. Did that myself a few weeks ago. Right now I'm just using removable chocks and tie downs to e-track. Easy to configure for 1,2 or 3 bikes. I may switch over to this set up. http://www.boltiton.com/

So did you end up having to use those rain tires last w/e?
