Window unit install question

Postby Jason1955 » Tue Jan 22, 2013 4:27 pm

I was thinking....instead of having to cut a hole in the side of my trailer, why couldn't I just install the unit in the divider wall separating my living quarter space and the garage area in my race trailer. I can open the vents in that area to get circulation and basically put a pan on the floor to catch the condensation it would put out. I would make it so that I can remove the unit when in travel or not needed. I look at it as it gets no hotter in there that it does outside and specially when the rear door is open on on race days?

Here is the wall I would put it in....what are your thoughts?

I don't see why not, also your not cooling as much space but I don't know if it would matter much.
What I did was build a rear wall that has wheels on the bottom and I can open and close it, and my gold cart fits in with no problem.

this may not work for others but works for me.
I like the wall with a regular screen door than the screen that covers the back, when it's hot or cold I have insulation plugs I put in and can take out.
