Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

New cargo conversation

Postby Eddielbs » Fri Mar 29, 2013 1:49 pm

We sold our teardrop a while back. So I ordered a cargo to convert into a camper that will fit our growing families needs a little better. I'll post a few pictures here of our build.

Here's the trailer we will be using.

Nifty rear door, never seen that. It will make a nice galley, eh?

Yeah it's a concession door. I had the trailer custom built with that door for the galley.

Got the wood and I started framing out for the galley today. Trying to KISS as much as I can.

Looking forward to your build. I like your Galley plan.
Dadgum it! I cut that board 5 times and it's still too short!

The galley door was a really good idea. I have a 5×10 and want a decent size galley. Roughly what's the average depth I should be considering? I'm going for a teardrop "cousin" if possible.

I'm using 2x2s to frame out with and I set mine in 18 inches from the back. Seems to be working out pretty well so far.

I was thinking about 1 1/2 ft. Mine however will be to the floor. I figure as deep as a sliding cooler, should do well. I want to have a full size bed. I hope to start soon, Thank you for the reply. Good luck with your build.

Very nice... That was quick and turned out nice. I like the beds too. So you have two bunks style twins and one queen?
