Bob glad the Heart surgery went well. I go in on the 28th to get the lazer back surgery on the L4/L5. Doc said no fussing necessary, just make some room for the pinched nerve to move and stop the pain. I managed to get in a weekend of camping, just got home. I was made the new Director of the Old Dominion Chapter while there. We had 18 trailers show up at First Landing State Park. It is and will be on the Tear Jerkers site with photos coming up.

I will see you in July my friend.

Great Bob and I hope you feel like a new man afterwards. I did on the first pass. I hope I can come back with as good news when I go see my pain doctor next week.
I look forward to your photos and July. I guess I had better get humming on my work.

I just put one of these awnings (Branded Rhino Rack) on m Jeep Grand Cherokee before heading to Moab a couple of weeks ago. Love it. When I set it up on hard rocks, I used gallon water bottles instead of stakes.

I have finally reached the point where I can start to work on my CT project. I had a ton of reasons why it has taken so long, all stories for another time, but for the past few weeks I have been hard at work.

Yesterday I made the plunge (literally that is) and cut the opening for my side window. It was very tough to start stess wise, but with a cardboard template, it went very well. BUT, today I gave it a water test with my garden hose trying to simulate a hard rain. And much to my extreme dismay, I have a leak. So off comes everything tomorrow and back to the initial step to install the window.

Hang in there Bob, did it "set" enough to hold? Sorry to hear about your "accidents". Keep on trucking.

Fixed it. Used some flexible sealant from my local hardware store and all is well now.

I have been working hard on my project for the past few weeks and tomorrow I should start putting up the interior wall paneling.
I have done a bad job in taking photos and posting them, so I will try and catch up here and then try to be diligent in posting my progress.
I am on a real tight schedule as I have a TD chapter camping event in SW Virginia in about 3 or 4 weeks. I know I will not have the formal sleeping arrangements, water tank and all worse of all, not have the AC done by then. But events like this do not change just because you are late.

In addition to having a water heater system done like MtnDon and Shawdow catcher have done, I wanted to experiment with radiant heat in my subfloor. I was going to give up on it because I could not reasonably price and installed the necessary aluminum reflection plates according to budget and plan. I was going to just scrap the idea, but I had already designed the system and purchased the PEX potable tubing so I just threw caution to the wind and installed the tubing anyway. What the heck! And I substituted double layers of heavy duty aluminum foil for the reflection plates. They probably will not work and it not, I am only out $100.

Here is one shot of the last section with tubing.

Here are the various tubes coming out by the water heater. Oh, did I mention I am comfortable with this concept because I designed and installed my radiant floor system in my home 12 years ago. And it works very well.

Conduit in subfloor for current and future wiring.

On this shot you can see I still have to trim the sealant.

Installing EPS to ceiling and sealing gaps.

Installed spotlights on 4 sides and door awning light.

I think you're going to like your hitch light. Mine makes working around the hitch at night a LOT easier

Jerry, I am not even going to try to compete with the OTTCT. You will blend right in with all the 18 wheelers out there.

I agree. It should do a great job. Maybe one day when all other improvements are done, I might consider adding a remote switch to the light.

I noticed you removed the stock leveler and added a "mount to the side" one.

Obviously yours too was in the way of your tail gate. I have got to deal with that issue also. I am thinking of having a new plate made to slide it back about 8".

Do you have any flexing issues with the frame with it being so far back. I doubt you do have any given the size of your frame.

Now bob, you might choose not to believe me, but those lights
especially the 7 on the rear "mean" , that when the Lights come on
PEOPLE "STAY" or "GET" the F out of my way.

especially when you wanna change lanes or others are getting on the highway &
I also have ZERO TAILGATERS !!

those lights are the single best idea on the trailer.
