I was thinking about doing this with my build but was worried about how slippery it would be when loading bikes in the rain. Let us know how slippery it is when it's wet.

Okay will do. I'm hoping the anti-skid additive will help with that. Some people add two packets of it for extra anti-slip.

The anti-skid stuff is very grippy. I won't be concerned in the wet.

I got my bed installed today! I still need to make legs for it, but it looks like it'll work great. I have some extra carpet lying around I may line the plywood with to prevent the air mattress from tearing.

My toolbox and other things will fit beneath it nicely.

Yup.

Got the bed legs installed today. 3 seemed sufficient.

I also got the rear led strip lights installed finally!

Tomorrow I will primer all the unpainted wood.

How will you hold the mattress in place?

How will you keep the mattress in place when in use? Won't it shift every time you turn over?

On cold nights, air mattresses are not warm. You need to put something between you and the mattress. Carry a foam pad or extra quilts or moving pads.

I guess I haven't slept on the new platform yet so I'm not sure if it does. My dad has a bunch of leftover carpet I was thinking of laying down to provide a softer surface for the mattress to rest on.

As far as heat, I can bring my ceramic heater since most places have electric hookup ::grin:

Finally got my B&M 70268 transmission cooler installed. This should help keep temps down while towing my trailer, as well as make it impossible to get the pink milkshake because I bypassed the stock radiator. Install was pretty simple, the hardest part was getting one of the skid plate bolts off! It rounded off so quick. I ended up using a dremel and a air chisel to get it off!

Primed all the trim wood and bed today. I HATE TRIM PAINTING. So tedious. Ignore the mess, it started raining so I threw everything back in.

Real paint will go on in the morning.

Haven't done a whole lot to the trailer lately...because I've been busy using it! It has been working great for this track season. Electrical has been flawless so far. The AC has been perfect on those 80+ days out. It is only 5000 btu, but if you put a small fan in front of it, it really cools you down. Turns out I can power my AC unit and my tire warmers on 15amp hookup! This is good news because it means I can buy a smaller 2000w inverter generator next year instead of the more expensive 3000w.

Today I installed a wheel chock and tie downs for another motorcycle. I wanted a chock so it is universal and I can carry anyone's bike. This tuesday I'm taking both bikes to the drag strip! I've never been to one before. $30 unlimited runs.

Old trailer sold today also . Bye bye.
