Are we done yet. I think so

Postby pmspirito » Sun Nov 04, 2012 7:23 pm

All of the mini-blinds are up, all cabinet doors and hardware are installed, the plastic lenses on all of the light fixtures are installed, the doggies step-up to the bed is in.

Dad went round and did some nail hole and screw hole filling. It needs one more once over to touch up the paint. Next weekend I will start outfitting with all the stuff for my trip Thanksgiving week.

more photos to post next weekend when it is done. :D

WOW!!!!

Your CT conversion is more roomy and better looking than our bedroom at home! You've set the bar very high for the rest of us.

So did you stay in your planned budget or did you go way and above your budget on your build. Your CT looks amazing and it is so impressive to see what you all can do with a CT. I finished mine over the summer and it turned out really good and I love using it. I do want to replan my bed and if I do that it will create more space then. But your CT looks great and you put alot of hard work into it. And you will be happy for many years to come. You cannot get a camper to look that nice and you have a one of a kind to be proud of.

Budget ??

Postby pmspirito » Mon Nov 12, 2012 7:31 pm

I need to total up the numbers. I was keeping an accurate list, as I went, updating it with each purchase. Near the end I just thru the receipts in a folder.

I think I did stay pretty close to budget. Well., probably not.

That front window, with the custom stainless steel frame and laminated impact glass, and painted at an auto body shop ended up costing $800.00. But I would not be without it.

I still need to install the AC in the left rear door.

I broke down the expenses into three categories. First, the trailer plus the interior construction. Second, all of the stuff needed for towing, and cords, hoses etc for set up on site. The third was all of the stuff I purchased to stock the trailer with. My plan is to have as much stuff dedicated to the trailer that when i want to use it i just throw in some clothes and doggie food. All of the dishes, cleaning supplies, linens, etc will stay in the trailer.

When i get back after thanksgiving I will total it all up.

I need to buy the flat screen TV this week. I had been taking the 32-inch one from the living room each trip. I plan on a 26-inch TV.

pmspirito, Howdy;

Hard to talk right now, jaw hit the table with such force when I saw the pix.
I have high envy of your shop, and your skills. Much admiration for the finished
escape pod. Who says you have to rough it when camping???
Again, beautiful build.
