Ok Antenna hooked up now with preamp. I have a few choice names for it but....its in.

62 channels and all I can say is wow, holy chit. Still So glad I put this TV in. Awning led lights are now pre wired at this point. Antenna is just setting on the roof at this time. Not mounted just yet.

Really pleased and shocked at the free TV channels this antenna provides. Don I will even up with you when you get back.

AWESOME!

Mcdave that man has earned his wings 1000 x over I am sure. They should clone him. Rare these days. He only lives like 3 miles away. I am so lucky to know him and call him friend.

Don, OH NO you don't but thank you. :D I will have maybe 4-6 solder connections when you come back at your convenience. Think Vogel SP my friend. :)

But I do need advice please from anybody. I need to affix these aluminum LED channels to the exterior. They provide plastic clips and wood screws but that wont flush here and I am reluctant to drill 7-9 holes in the roof/side but I will If I have too. Maybe get the same screws in metal self tapping if they make them. BUT...

Would a aluminum liquid nails be better? IDK and really need advice. I am leaning towards liquid nails if it works for aluminum to aluminum.

Thanks.

Those screws in the bag to the left are from haulmark. They are pan head squares and will not work here.

Try good quality 3M Very High Bond (VHB) tape. Home Depot and Lowes carry it around here, but is also on Amazon.

Be sure to clean the Aluminum first.

5952, different widths available

google for the surface prep protocol for plain metal, and get a good roller to apply pressure

Tommy, the bonding with the really good 2 sided tape along the entire strip as suggested by a few others may be the way to go. The strip is covered by the awning in transit so no windforces or etc.. to stress it out. It has to stick well and not come off easily. You will get a good look at the health of the bond each time you deploy the awning in any case.

Tommy, I e-mailed the company that makes the TV Mounts. I got an e-mail back with a name and a phone # to call tomorrow. They are going to hook me up with a third docking plate.  So far I am liking this TV swivel mount. It seems very robust.

going to get this stuff per the advice here.

3M Scotch 5952 VHB Tape: 1 in. x 15 ft. (Black) Price: $22.76
Free Shipping for Prime Members

Seems to be the best thing out there.

Thank You John61CT and all who responded. :D
If the weather isn't too bad I will mount the antenna and lights tomorrow. Also need to re due the tension on the awning as well as replace the awning lower brackets as they both are broke. The awning frame is showing its age a little.
