Everything looks real good..... why did you use 3/4 insulation in the walls instead of 1" ?

Thanks Apples. Workspace is just my garage. Had to kick the wife's car out for a few weeks so I could spread out.

Gulfcoast, on the insulation, I simply could not find one inch.. seems that was the case last time. In any case, the instructions suggest standing off the exterior wall on radiant barrier side as much as possible. The 3/4 inch allowed me to stand off 1/4 inch, which isn't much, but better than nothing. I am doubling up in the ceiling and 2 inches under floor where it really matters most anyhow.

With the exception of caulking and a few trim pieces, the kitchenette is done . Going on to bathroom next, but before I start, going to hook some 12vdc circuitry up so I can have lighting. Already have some provisional 110VAC for the air conditioner. May do that tomorrow.

Started looking at how I was going to organize the electrical cabinet and realized it is a big job with alot of circuitry to connect. I did cobble some lights, but I think I am going to tackle this before the bathroom to make sure I did not overlook anything. It shouldn't take too long.

Seems like this would work to regulate temperature more precisely, but also cut off the fan which runs 100% of time even though the compressor cycles. This device appears to just apply power or remove it to satisfy a thermocouple and setting. The little AC has a discrete switch for power and etc., so I do not see why it wouldn't work.

Btw... tested this out today and it works very well with the Air Conditioner. It is just what I was looking for.

It cycles it on and off to presets as expected and has a programmable delay which is good for brown outs. May be redundant however.

So, this takes a simple analog airconditer with dials and provides it with a precisely controlled digital remote controlled thermostat. The thermocouple also is long enough where you can set the control point at just about any height in the trailer.

It rained almost all afternoon today, so I didn't get a lot done on the CTC. I did decide what was going to go where as far as electrical closet and built shelves for the major components. Also was able to recover a large shelf for inside access. I need to trim it and create a door, but it is roughed in.

I also created a wire/cable raceway on the left side between the outer wall and shelves so I can connect/route wires as needed. They will be contained and out of the way.

Hopefully, I'll get the appliance stack paneled tomorrow and install the stereo and all the inside facing solar and power monitors. My 1500W inverter does not have a remote switch, but I took a look inside the cover and I think I can make a remote switch and parallel it with the existing on/off switch. It should work if I do it right.

The plywood under the A/C is the back of the inside cabinet. I used 1/4 plywood I had and closed off the back and opened up inside.

Now I have to panel/trim this and build a door for the cabinet.

Rain keeps coming. Started paneling the appliance stack today before it started.

Cut the vent holes in side. There will be two more like that on the front side at the same height as well.

Started on the front then realized the speakers that came with the stereo were 5.25 inches. I needed 3.5 inch to fit... so I ordered speakers which will arrive tomorrow. I did get the holes cut for the guages and penciled in the 5.25 speakers to see how they'd fit... ridiculous... lol.

I'll finish this up tomorrow since I can't have the electric tools out in the rain! I'll focus on connecting wires today.

My 230aH LiFePo4 batteries arrived from China today, so I can start the process of building the second battery for the 510aH bank.

Putting the quick charge through the BMS on my new 230aH battery bank that arrived from China today after almost 3 months. When the BMS shuts off the charge, I'll reconfigure these to a parallel configuration and charge at a fixed 3.65VDC until current stops ( top balance).

So far, the BMS and battery bank look good. Came with the thermocouple this time so I didn't have to figure that out, and I know how to initialize the BMS properly now also. Getting good at this. ;-)

Got a little more done today. Received the 3.5 inch speakers and installed them and got some more wiring done. About 50% done on wiring. I am using the charger and inverter in the garage at the moment as I am testing the 230aH battery bank.

I have some trim to add along with the paneling and vents on the bottom front and I should be wrapping this up and starting on the bathroom.

I don't expect to make much progress next week. Going camping on Lake Kissimmee with my wife for the week in the 7*18 CTC. I will have a 30A service so I can run the life support system (A/C) she requires this time of year.

Little by little!

I didn't plan on ventilation for those two equipment shelves, but after I installed the equipment and given they were essentially airtight, I figured I'd have issues with overheating inverters, converter, etc.., so I opened it up to the Cabin. No reason I couldn't as the A/C is isolated in any case and the batteries do not need venting (LiFePo4).

Building a shaker type door for the cabinet under the A/C out of some scrap pieces of plywood. Will be a magnetic pull off. Have alot of sanding to do after glue dries. I think I may route the edges also.

230aH all done. This bank fits in a Group 24 case an weighs 41.6 lbs.. . Need to fully charge the 280aH bank, then I will mate the two for 510aH in the CTC. 94lbs total weight for both batteries.

flboy, Howdy;

While going through my weekly RV Newsletter I ran across this nice
little tid-bit.

As your intentions are to do some BLM boondocking thought you'd like
some heads-up about a few places.
