Hank I did not fasten the bus bars down with exterior screws this time. The wires are heavy gage and hold them in place and separated. I coated everything with terminal conditioner. Those mounting screws go into the panels that attach to a bar that screws into the trailer frame and therefore a very close potential as the negative solar leads are referenced to chassis ground in the solar controller. So electrically, the screws would look like the bus bar that had the most corrosion. That being the case, I suppose they would corrode the same and in fact looked the same. In any case , I will inspect in a month or so and if the process has started, I will replace those screws with nylon screws just to eliminate that possibility.

Thanks all. Now that I am aware of the problem, I'll keep an eye on it. I am hoping the terminal conditioner will interrupt the process by elimating one of the three essentials. Only time will tell.

Take 2 on the outside TV mount. The home made outside mount worked, but I didn't like the way it looked, so I got a new TV mount. The bracket is the same inside. The TV is just click to remove. Looks better to me now.

That 4.3 Cubic ft. Fridge is barely a drain. Add about 10% for inverter efficiency of stated 90% (when running off the inverter) and it is still not bad. I am liking this power in monitor.

Where did you source that meter from Don? I found the DC version that you have posted pics of previously on BangGood -
https://www.banggood.com/20A-DC-Digital-Multifunction-Power-Meter-Energy-Monitor-Module-Voltmeter-Ammeter-6_5V-100V-p-996111.html?rmmds=search
they have an AC version as well, but the display looks different than the above.

I was wondering how well your F150 is doing pulling your CTC. What engine do you have? Did you do any upgrades to the suspension. I have an 09 F150 STX Triton 4.6 with 40k & 6 speed tranny and I want to go with the 7x16 and am curious how well yours is towing. Are you using a distribution hitch? Thanks for the info.

My truck pulls the trailer just fine. The CTC is about 6,000 lbs. fully loaded with motorcycle in and 66 gallons of fresh water. My F150 has the 302 V8 and tow package rated for 9,200 lbs. I use a load balancing hitch and anti-sway bars. It pulls great and the truck doesn't really break a sweat. The trailer has brakes on all 4 wheels so no issues slowing down.

I'll have it in the hills the first time this weekend, so I'll let you know how it does there.

The trailer does drop the mpg into the 9 to 10 mpg range from 19mpg when towing. That kinda stinks, but is normal.

Loading the toys up tonight and heading north to Vogel St. Park in the late A.M. That is a sweet sight seeing the Kingpin in the back. It fits well even fully dressed with faring and bags.

Going to boon dock the first night in a Rest Stop or a Truck stop. This will be the first time boon docking with my wife and the big bike. Wish me luck. I hope she can take it. If she does well... the build was worth it.

Looking good.

What technique do you use to load your bike underneath the bed? I am thinking that it would be hard to push or ride the bike in with the limited clearance … but I suspect that you have a technique to make it easy. Do you raise the bed up higher than as shown in the photo and thereby gain sufficient overhead clearance?

I ride it in (with feet down) . I just have to remember to duck my head a bit. It clicks into the Bike Chock which has a wide stance an holds the bike stable by itself. I just get off and strap it down. I can do it by myself.

The bed stays where it is at. No need to move it. There is more clearance than the picture really shows. There is about 4 inches above the top of the windshield. I barely have to duck my head and then once my head clears the outer bed frame, there is the additional clearance equal to the width of a 2*4. I can almost sit straight up at that point.

Looks like there is still room to open up one chair to relax in.

Yeah, Kingpin Baby! Destined for Glory.
That is a sweet sight. Loaded up and ready to rock. You've got me all inspired now. I could be loaded up and rollin' before sun up. She doesn't like to be disturbed early on Saturdays, but if I spiked the coffee...yeah, that could work. If she wakes up and she's already on vacation, she can't really say No. just sayin'.... Might be wrong, but it feels so right.

Anyways, that's a sweet ride. That thing has fairings on it's fairings! Should be awesome in the hills and twistys. See if you can find somebody to get a pic of you kids on the scoot. You might come across one of those outfits that sets up in a corner and gets everyone's "action photo" all leaned over and carving it. Then you can go on their internet and see yourself and order copies. Mama might be hooked once she sees how hot she looks on that ride. But then you might have to buy her a Harley. Seen it happen before.
Have a great time, be safe.

Thanks McDave and Martin. Surely I will have some pics this week.

Pics of my hitch set-up. I added dual sway bars instead of just the one.

That is one fine trailer.

I have been thinking about installing a awning on mine. What brand did you decide on and why? Would you
have any other suggestions?

I'm not Don of course but here's a link to the awning he used.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BD ... UTF8&psc=1. Its made by a company named Aleko and its a 13x8. Here's the actual website for the company https://www.alekoawning.com/RV-Awnings-s/1874.htm. currently a 13x8 is $469.00
I'm looking at the same awning for my CTC.
