Well point of use heaters can save some energy in a home because if you have a long run to say a half bath. It can save water and power by not having to wait 2-3 mins for the water to get hot. The heaters them sevles are no better. They use just as much power. Again though it might work fine for your needs.

Now I think I would have bought a 7x20 instead of the 7x16 I did buy. Nice work inside and the blog.

Tested it today finally.
The hot water heater works fine after letting it sit for about 10 minutes. After it got heated up for the first time it ran hot water 140 degrees for 3 minutes straight. Then 120 for another 3 minutes. That is more than I will need for this adventure.

Put the Harley in the trailer for the first time and I must say that there is not as much room as I had hoped for. The bed is going to be right on top of the front tire basically, I had planned on 12 inches of space but not so much.

It will all work just not the way I had planned.

One comment regarding the battery capacity. I have (1) deep cycle and ran y Norcold fridge (3) days without the battery dropping much. I did run the truck thru jumpers for 30 minutes last nite; just to be on the safe side. Remember; the fridge does not run full time, only intermittenly to stay cold.

The fridge should only use the reserve of a single battery, BUT if I am forced off the grid for more than 2 days the pair of batteries should run the TV and bluray long enough to watch a movie. And run the microwave for popcorn. :?

I also have 2 120 watt Evergreen solar panels and a controller that I was going to install in this hauler. :worship:
