How high is your Cargo?

Ok so I have changed my mind on the height within the last couple of hours..now Im thinking 6ft should do the trick..might as well take advantage of my average height 5ft 9 inches and benefit from better towing...I may change my mind again in a couple of hours..wish I had some hindsight vision..

whether I get a 6x12 or 6x14 I will get the v nose..I like the looks over the flat front..I am also looking at Haulmark because they seem to be a good value.

Before I finally decided on a Haulmark, I spent hours/days/weeks researching the various trailer manufacturers...and their respective local dealers. No matter what trailer brand I looked at and what dealer I spoke with, my thoughts always circled back to the Haulmark brand. They are a bit more expensive then other trailer brands in the same category, however I found that IMO, dollar for dollar the quality is a bit higher as a result. The local dealer here also has been great to work with and did not lose any patience nor interest after I made various email and onsite inquiries which resulted in many changes to the final order sheet.

There was one thing that i wasnt really taking into account when i was trying to decide which size and height trailer i would get...payload...with.a single axle trailer payload is already limited..and when you start adding more length or height,payload decreases....its very easy to get carried away...small,light,simple,cheap...i should just start repeating this to myself..im gonna get a 6x 12 with 6 ft height...its gonna just be tall enough to stand in with no extra space..its gonna just be wide and long enough to fit the layout that i want with little to no extra dead weight...and my payload is gonna be enough to occasionally tow two cruisers....small,light,simple,cheap...i think my suv will thank me for it...thanks for all the replies..

I have put hours of thought and research into payload. My plans are to keep the combined weight of the trailer, materials and gear to 2000 lbs max.

All of my ideas of different and minimal floor plans, layouts, materials and gear are being meticulously tracked in a spreadsheet. Depending on what plans/options I ultimately decide to implement after I take delivery of the trailer from the dealer, the final payload will be very close to the self imposed limit.

My CT is 5x8x5 and I'm 6'5". Just depends on how you are going to use your trailer. Mine is a rectangular version of a Teardrop. The height was determined by me sitting on a porta potti.

I ordered my cargo trailer about a week ago..I ordered the 6x12 vnose with the 6ft height.Well after much internal debate I just called the people I ordered the trailer from to go ahead and add the 6 inches extra height..I probably could have made the 6fter work but I have some big plans for a nice loft bed and possibly a raised shower so I didnt want to take the chance on not having enough height...Not to mention that 6x12 is a pretty small space to begin with and a taller ceiling will give it a bigger feel I suppose. Its still going to come in at less than 1500 lbs dry..A year ago I was towing a jayco 197 which was 3310 dry..and much taller and wider...and I managed to tow that thing as far as gatlinburg, tennessee through the smokies coming from new york..and my xterra did a great job at it so I dont think a measly 6 inches is going to affect much.Thanks for all the responses..it really helped me sort through this..

I think you will be glad you went with the 6'6" ceiling. A little extra head room makes them feel much larger. Mine was suppose to be 6'6" but it came in at 6'4". Which makes my trailer about 3" shorter then my old trailer. Just those 3" really makes a difference.

Good decision. You will certainly be glad of that extra 6 inches, no question. High places can be used for storage too, without giving it that cramped feeling.
