Yup but it had nothing to do with a build up of hydrogen. Although I've see a few of them "sparks is sparks" I've never heard of a car burning up over it. Now what got my attention and I'm sure has caused a number of VW fires was the spark jumping from old spark plug wires to the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carburetor. THAT was scary.
