I am thinking of using some nifty storage devices for the trailer. I like the strap rack, a coat/hat rack, and the bar. This website has many choices in diamond plate a smooth metal.

Does any one have any opinions as to these products? Or better ideas? More cost effective ideas? Are there any crucial things some of you veteran cargo trailer builders consider must haves for storage/ organization?

Wheel chocks from Amazon for 60 bucks each. They are recessed, flip up, have diamond plate on top part, and store the straps when not in use! I am going to install two! I have them roughed into the floor now and just have to set cabinets, tie down spots, and ramp edge before I do final floor install.

kkayv, Howdy;

You can look thru these to see what you might like;
http://www.google.com/search?q=cargo+tr ... igKJr4GYAg
Or you can get a set or 2 of these;
http://www.google.com/search?q=jack+sta ... 50&bih=707

Most folks will also utilize a piece of 2"x8" or 2"x 10" to place under the stands for a wider footprint
for sandy or softer soils. Keeps the feet from digging in as well.

I had mine installed from the factory but this is how I use mine, I unhook the trailer and pull forward so I am free of the trailer then I lower the front down and drop down the rear jacks and then crank the front back up until it's solid.
But I guess you could leave it hooked up and use some type jack on both rear corners and jack it up until it's solid.

T Minus 8 Days and counting till Moab Trip -Mini Toy Hauler

Postby kkayv » Tue Apr 16, 2013 3:37 pm

New pics from my "homework" from the other night worked on painting the cabinets. I mixed up my own color cuz I didn't have the right shade of gray that I wanted. I have a huge punch list that must be as complete as possible to do before I head out to Moab for my first trip in a little over a week! I'm going to be working hard!!! :?

Has any one mounted a chrome bakers rack in trailer?

Postby kkayv » Tue Apr 16, 2013 3:44 pm

I am interested in mounting a bakers chrome shelving unit into my cargo trailer. I was just wondering if any one had any cleaver ideas for it? I thought about securing it to the wall with conduit.

They (the manufacturer) sell the product at the Carlisle Swap Meet in PA and they appear to be good quality, nice welds and overly built. You cant go wrong with their stuff.

Foam Mattresses with vinyl

Postby kkayv » Wed Apr 17, 2013 10:34 am

Thanks for all the help and feedback guys! I'll be getting the Jacks today.
:D
Here are pics of my homework from last night. Been working on making two mattresses out of 3" memory foam. I cut it to fit two extra wide twin cots I got that seem really comfy. I am covering the foam with gray and black vinyl. Good thing I know how to sew because vinyl is kinda a pain to sew, but I did ok. I still have one side to sew closed.

Cargo Trailer ramp flooring?

Postby kkayv » Wed Apr 17, 2013 1:25 pm

Hey..
Do any of you have suggestions on what to use for the ramp floor on my toy hauler conversion. I want something that will clean easily but not be too silpry or expensive. I like the way black and white checked vinyl floor looks, but I'd prob. Kill myself on it!

There are other companies that make a simular product but the one I can think of is Rhinoliner. It's not cheap but would work great.
