My bike doesn't leak either but accidents happen and I had one on my first trip with my CT. I had a tie down strap fail and my bike fell over against a wall spilling gas. :x Luckily I used Rustoleum Epoxy Paint for concrete floors. I wiped it up, sprayed it with electric parts cleaner, wiped it up again. No odor after 10 minutes. Cracks have shown up but they are all minor. I am planning on putting on a second coat on sometime. I like the texture of yours and was just curious. Hope you have good luck with yours.

Dadgum it! I cut that board 5 times and it's still too short!

Thanks on the 'good luck'. Maybe I can put a layer of the extreme concrete stuff over the top?

Years ago when I tiled over the typical concrete cracks on a basement floor, I applied thin membrane strips (with thinset) over all the cracks before I ever applied the tiles. 6-7 years later, no concrete crack has come thru and affected the tiles. I wonder if this would work in the case of these CT applications. The membrane is supposed to stretch with the movement of the concrete and the thickness of the Restore should bridge the slight height adequately. Just a thought.

Roof vents and solar panel installed...Just enough room to add a second panel on roadside if I need more juice.

Do you have any details of how you mounted your solar panel? Bolted feet, the glue tape?? Wires? Things like that. Thanks!

Hi Cindy
I was able to locate the front mounting brackets to line up with a roof beam in which I used #8 self-tapping screws (3-per bracket). The rear brackets I had to add a piece of plywood blocking on the inside of the ceiling (not enclosed yet). I will take more pics of it when I can find time. The wire connects to a junction box that I can add up to two more panels to later by simply plugging them in. The junction box can be seen in the picture...it's the box at the very front on the roof.

Nice job! Thanks for the details. Every little bit helps! My 100w solar panel rides inside for now and is deployed when needed, but I am thinking about a future roof mount. Then eventually I could add a small 12v fridge. I haven't looked up how many watts I would need for that though.

Thanks Cindy :) the reason I went with the junction box connection is that I'm really on the fence so to speak right now whether I should go full solar with an inverter (to run 120v appliances) or keep the minimalistic approach that was my original goal :? :) so at least this way I can add more panels if I fall off that fence and decide to go for it :lol:

Been awhile since I've updated. Things are slowly coming together...here are a few more shots.

Front graphics and battery box. I'll go into the detail of the battery box once I get all the wiring complete...

Detailed the wall studs for window framing...

And framing complete...

Thats about it for now other than the mess of a wiring harness I've been working on. When I get it finished I'll post it up also.

Take care! :)

Well Cindy...I decided to add the second solar panel (after I can find the funds...lol). Then gonna use a portable inverter...probably for the kids xbox :roll: :)

Quadriderdad, Howdy;

Excellent job framing the window in. Are those 1X2's that you used?
Did you spend a few extra $'s and get Oak for the framing and how
did you attach them to the frame at the ends?

Hi Hank
Thanks for the good words!
Na, no oak...I used up some douglas fir I had laying around the shop. I ripped them to 1 1/8" thick to work with my window clamp rings x 1 1/2" wide. Wall studs are actually 1" thick but the difference in thickness shouldn't be noticeable.The corners are plastic radius's used to frame windows in the rv industry (got them from work) I used two wood screws at each attachment point to the steel studs. My interior wall panels are 3/8" ply so when its all fastened together it should be plenty rigid.

Quadriderdad, Howdy;

Thanks for the info. Are the radius available to the general public
and is there a link????? Curious minds and all that ... ;) .
Great work around for us with zero wielding abilities or equipment.

Well this is where we get them... http://www.eckcoplastics.com/My_Homepage_Files/Page4.html but it looks like bulk quantities. Not sure about smaller orders. I had to cut mine thinner to 1 1/8". They came at 1 1/2" thick. It would have been almost as easy to make wood ones.
