Prem
I did a lot of reading about the brand home Depot carries and out of 25 reviews 23 were rating it a five and happy with it.

I am thinking of a composting toilet in my build instead of the normal blackwater tanks . Anyone on here tried that?

I too was interested until I saw the $800 or $900 price for units.
Then I ran "Compost Toilets" thru Google and Youtube and there is quite a bit of information on homemade and "cheap" ones. Certainly something to look into and see if it is for you.

I wonder how the cost of installing a blackwater tank ,piping water to it and and a rv toilet would compare in price to a 800.00 unit. I know that you would save money in dump fees.
Just from my reaserch ,1 person should be able to go 30 days and 2 about 15 days.

Composting toilets do work, with one catch that caught me. The composting action slows down and halts at somewhere around 50 to 55 F. If that is not an issue it could be a solution. The bucket with a seat on it works well for many folks once you get past the mental block that is not uncommon. ;)

Thr man cave is going to have to wait a few weeks. I have the Casita loaded and I am leaving this morning for three weeks of traveling, small mouth fishing and deer hunting in Tenn.
Here are wishes of a merry CHRISTmas and a happy and safe New year .

MynDon

I put a 3" fan inside the box, vented through the floor - you actually get zero smell & a nice breeze on your butt..
my best invention ever

OTT
I wish I had some pics.
The trip didnt work out on the hunting and fishing. My better half came down with the type a flu so we hauled it back home . She wound up in hosp for a week went home for 4 days and then her heart went out of time again ,she spent another week in the hosp.
She has pretty well taken 24/7 care for the last month and a half so I havent done much but care for her.
Thank god she is doing better and starting to get her strength back, it was touch and go for awhile.
One good thing about the time I spent I had plenty of time to visualize my trailer in different configurations .
