Thanks OTTCT

Ya know you live in Armpit, NM when the nearest Ikea store is 335 miles in one direction, 358 in another or 489 in another.

Looks like a nice bed support, though. Fortunately shipping is reasonable on that item. Unlike that on a sofa for example.

MtnDon,

I went on Google Maps and couldn't find Arm Pit, New Mexico anywhere in the state. It kept asking me if I didn't mean Arampit, Qatar and I kept clicking NO. :o

Hey, it was 7* F here last night. :goodnight: Snow and ice everywhere. But you've actually motivated me to go out and at least *look* in my CT...provided I can get either frozen door open. It hasn't been above freezing here in a few days. Dangerous to drive or even try to walk outside.

:frightened: :snowstorm:

It's geetar weather, stayin' inside and drinkin' anti-freeze.
My goal...

Oh, I guess you're in Armpit 1, and I'm in Armpit 2, or 3. ;) Though you are closer to AZ, but CO is closer for us. But no place in NM is deemed large enough to support an Ikea store. So maybe all of NM is an armpit zone. I do like the state though :) We do have some great solar vendors in state. :D

MtnDon, Howdy;

I kinda like my wee small chunk, Generally Sun 340 + days
although the 115* to 120* days are difficult to adjust to.
and Hatch is only 19 miles down the road...

Howdy too!! :D Mostly clear skies up north too, much of the year. Not sure of the number of days but it is maybe 300. I've never seen 100 F though; not here near the Valles Caldera. 90's but no triple digits. Only 14 F right now. Brrr.

Prem

I went to google maps & could not find Sieberia Oregon
Where it's 7 degrees .... No wonder you wanna go to Baja Mexico

I have to pray for 10 years to get below 30 deg here.....
Can't remember seeing snow for 34 years ? Or more.
Since I left Kansas .... Now they had nice cold & WIND
But ur right, not to safe driving in snow or mud.

Cheers Jerry

Jerry,

Back in the early 90s in the 3rd week of December we had 9* below zero three nights in a row...so it could be worse. So far, the pipes haven't frozen!

Yeah, (I can't stop myself) you're not in Kansas any more.

Count your blessings! You could be in Fresno. :scratchthinking:

:snow Prem in Siberia, Oregon :snow

Hey MtnDon

Now that interior walls & doors are done, i'm pretty sure I can pick up close to easy 40+ deg ...
especially with a little warm water added.
Still have the ceilings and walls to finish with wood & to add the cargo, so the results should only get better.
My best guess - putting 2.25" foam on top of floor vs under the floor gets you 8-10 deg F warmer inside on a 7 x 18

Hey MtnDon

Do a small experiment for me , take a stack of folded towels 3-4" thick min 2-3 sq ft area
Spritz the top layer so it's slightly moist, press the stack to the inside of
Your trailer roof & start checking as the temp drops below 37 deg F at night
I would bet at some point long before you get close to 32 - the top
Layer becomes frozen and sticks to your trailer roof.

Thanks Jerry
