No worries about hijacking this thread, definitely raises a good point that I had not thought of. Great video!

One of my favorite camping bear stories: my dad was motorcycle touring with the goldwing up near Banff. He pulled into a campground late, no one else around but lots of bear sign everywhere. Middle of the night he hears something big snuffling around outside his tent. He's digging around in the dark for a flashlight and finds his bike keys. The newer goldwings have a red "panic" button on the key fob that honks the horn and flashes the lights. He said he had always wondered just when a person would ever need a "panic" button on a motorcycle, but the situation certainly seemed to call for it. Evidently it's made for scaring off the bear outside your tent at 2am, perfect time to push the "panic" button!

Because you have it does not mean you have to use it! We have a Waeco 12V refrigerator which stays in the TV plugged into a line there when traveling and behind the tear when camping, we also have two ice chests of varying size and this is what we used when tent camping prior to the tear, one was a use it soon the other was a use it later hard freeze. Our trip last year to Lake Superior for 8 days used the refrigerator which will keep things frozen and one of the coolers with stuff we used first, worked well and safely.
