Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

Just a basic place to get out of the weather. We may do AC later if the fan doesn't work well enough, and we pretty much stay in campgrounds where facilities are available. I'm just too old to sleep on the ground and the wife can't ride the bike for long distances.

Finished the cabinets and countertop. Also finished the converter and electricity. The only thing left preliminarily is putting in the ceiling. We found some white oak paneling for the ceiling, so I will probably start on it tomorrow evening. Here are the pictures of the cabinets.

Looking good. Just make sure to run any wiring you need before you put up the ceiling. I forgot to put 12VDC wiring up to my vent and wish I had earlier when I was installing a fan this weekend. Even if you don't think you will use it... it may be good to have a few wires well placed just in case. The more I use my conversion, the more stuff I think of to do.

I got the ceiling in, will post pics later. I didn't think to run extra wires, but if I decide on a fan or something later, it won't be too hard to get the ceiling down. I used self tapping screws through the metal studs.

I think it's time to go camping. It looks like our first trip will be June 29 to Roan Mountain State Park.

OK, finally ready to post some comments about the camping trip. It went well. Some minor modifications/things to consider:
1. Take pieces of 2X6 to level with. Even with paved pads, it still wasn't level. Fortunately, I had one piece of 2X6 in the truck.
2. The cots take at least one night to get used to.
3. Need more D-rings to hang stuff on.
4. Roan Mountain is the wrong place to determine if you need an A/C. It was 72 degrees at the campground and 60 degrees at the top of the mountain.
5. Remember to take pictures. :x
