Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

I wish I had went to the dealer before I ordered my trailer was because the color I chose did not look like the color I wanted from the web site it is a mute point now because I have changed trucks so the color doesn't matter now but at the time I was a little disappointed.
The other thing was I wanted a fantastic vent fan I knew they were a couple hundred dollars for a good one and I was going to buy it and send it to them and they talked me into the one that came from the factory I guess some would be happy with that but it is a small fan that runs one speed.
I think it looks so bad I made piece of wood that was left over from the build and have covered it up, I can take it off if I want to open it up.

Thanks JC,

I will keep all these experiences and suggestions very close to me when it is time to go forward - very soon I hope. And yes, I believe I did see Rainier's nail/screw post. This all helps.

If able tomorrow, I would like to send you a PM.

Wish I had ordered 16'or an 18' instead of 14'. Should of had A/C installed and instead of swing open doors, should have gotten a rear ramp door. Oh well, live and learn...

I am curious. Why go bigger then 14 x 14. Fantastic vents/fans use a 14 x 14 hole. Would you be using something else?
Do AC units require a larger hole?

I think they meant 16 or 18 foot instead of 14 foot. Almost everybody I have talked to wanted a little more room. :D

JC,
Thanks.
Am traveling now up the East Coast Interstates. Paying $106 tonight for a motel. It is painful when one thinks about using one's CT.

I will send the PM soon.

That looks interesting (it is somewhat similar to the Outdoor Portable Potty, but holds more) and according to the add online, you can purchase an extra tank --- I guess that's if 50 flushes is too much between dump sites. :embarassed:

I've been away for a while, but wanted to say thanks and post an update.

I went ahead and ordered a trailer last week. After visits to several lots and looking at a ton of trailers I pulled the trailer. Ordered a 7X16 V-nose with a ramp door. I had them raise the roofnto 6'9", install 2 windows, upgrade to LED lights and add back up lights, install the interior with screws, and build it with 16" OC floor studs.

It should be ready May 23rd, but here is the catch. My dad couldn't resist a good deal so he bought one too. I am picking that one up on the 23rd to deliver to him and then going back for mine. I should get a commission or something :D

First order of business will be to insulate the walls. Then outfit it as necessary.

Thanks again, it looks like I will be here to stay

Congratulations. Let the fun begin!

May 23 is not very far away. A little time for planning and lots of reading on here.

Best thing I did was to take the time to read the back posts and fill a folder with idea pictures.

Looking forward to hearing more on your progress.
